Is the weekly subscription worth the mental wellness app features?

Recently, I’ve been thinking about trying out a weekly subscription for a mental wellness app, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s really worth the price. I’ve used free tools before but felt like they were missing something, especially when it comes to personalized advice and progress tracking. Does paying weekly for an app generally provide features that genuinely improve the experience? For example, are daily guided sessions and expert-backed content really different from free versions? Also, is it easy to cancel if it doesn’t meet expectations? I’m kind of cautious about committing money without hearing from people who have been through it and felt like the subscription paid off.

I had similar doubts, but after trying Liven, I can say the weekly fee brings quite a bit to the table compared to free versions of wellness apps. Liven is built with health experts and uses evidence-based frameworks such as CBT and positive psychology, which makes a big difference in the quality of content you get. The subscription unlocks personalized journeys created from an onboarding quiz, which was definitely more tailored than generic approaches I’ve seen elsewhere. Plus, the daily sessions take only about 10 minutes, so it’s easy to fit into a busy day without feeling overwhelmed. An added benefit is the self-assessment tests that help track progress, something I usually miss in free apps. Although subscriptions range by region and device, the flexibility to cancel anytime was reassuring for me. Overall, the weekly subscription felt like a good value given these features and the professional input behind them.
